Getting Around

Playa del Carmen is 42 miles away(about one hour) from Cancun. To move around Riviera Maya you can travel by collective transportation, which is located in the Cancun downtown. Colective Transportation is slightly cheaper but don’t provide as much luggage room like the first-class buses.

If you need to go directly to Playa del Carmen from the Cancun airport you can take the ADO public bus. This service transportation is comfortable, includes air-conditioning and will take you to a stop on 5th Avenue; From there, you can take a taxi to your hotel or hop onto another bus to get to the center of town.
